After 3 years of working for my current employee, I have completed the last day on the job with them. I will miss the co-workers and clients, but the irregular hours, irregular pay, last minute schedule changing, never have time to eat, drink, or pee, aspects of the job were becoming very taxing on my sleep disordered body. Unfortunately, this is the nature of the field of work as a whole and not specific to my former employer. It's not their fault, it's just how the cookie crumbles. I had lots of fun with them and have learned a lot. I look forward to finish studying for my certification exam with my time off between jobs.

I was a Senior Behavior Therapist working with autistic children in the south bay region of the San Francisco bay area. I have about 3 years of work experience in the field. I have completed my education requirements for the BCaBA and work experience requirements. The next step, and my new year's resolution for 2010 is to finish studying the textbook and apply for the certification exam by the end of the year.

During my free time, I have a kitchen garden and enjoy cooking and baking. I also enjoy photography even though I am not actively pursuing any profitable or professional ventures at this moment. However, should the opportunity arise, I would probably accept based on my availability. I dabble in a lot of various forms of arts & crafts and enjoy many outdoor recreational activities such as camping, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, flying kites, etc.

At any given time, I have various pet animals that range from fish, amphibians, insects & arachnids, to the more conventional mammalian companions we all know and love: dogs and cats. In my house, at this time, I have 2 gold killifish, 2 rasboras, 2 dojo loaches, 1 firebellied toad, 3 pacific tree frogs, emerging toadlets; a large 17-lb. ridiculously affectionate, toilet trained, free rescued male bengal cat named Benji. Other animals in the house that are more of a family-owned animal include a purebred male bengal and a purebred JKC certified female kishu inu dog.

It has been said that I am a walking encyclopedia of random & useless information. Art, photography, and science, especially biology and environment, being my most preferred topics.
